
The Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will start his two -day visit to India 18th August.
India and China are expected to discuss new measures for building confidence for permanent peace and peace along their attacked border during a visit to Wang Yi, which at the end of this month comes before the Chinese Narendra Modi trip.

Wang’s visit is largely considered to be part of the continuing efforts of two neighbors to rebuild their relationship after the deadly clashes Galwan Valley in 2020 got under severe tension.

What is the itinerary?
Wang Yi lands in NovĂ˝ Delhi around 16:15 on Monday. At 6 pm he meets the Minister of Outside Affairs with Jaishankar for bilateral discussion.
On Tuesday morning, Wang Yi is scheduled to organize a new round of dialogue special representative (SR) with NSA Ajit Doval at 11 am.
The meeting could see that both parties are intentional in a number of key questions, including the situation of borders, trade and recovery of flight services.
The Chinese minister will then call Prime Minister Modi in his residence, 7 Loka Kalyan Marg, at 17:30, according to the Ministry for External Affairs (Mea).
The meeting assumes importance because the days before the planned trip to Modi to China take place to participate in the annual summit of the organization for cooperation in Shanghai (SCO).
Reconstruction of a relationship in India China
The visit to the Chinese Foreign Minister is largely considered to be part of the continuing efforts of two neighbors to rebuild their relationship, which after the deadly clashes Galwan Valley in 2020 got under heavy tension.

Modi’s visit to China is planned in the middle of both parties’ efforts to repair its bilateral ties, which after the deadly clashes between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galwan valley in June 2020 got under serious tension.
NSA Doval last December traveled to China and led SR interviews with Wang, weeks after Prime Minister Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping decided to revive various dialogue mechanisms between the two parties at a meeting in the Russian city of Kazan.
The military distance at the eastern Ladak began in May 2020 and the clashes in the Galwan Valley in June led to a serious burden on bilateral ties.
The decision to revive various dialogue mechanisms was adopted at a meeting between Prime Minister Modi and Chinese President XI in Kazan on 23 October 2024.
Both parties also launched several initiatives to rebuild links, including the renewal of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra and the new Dilli, which will restart the release of tourist visas to Chinese nationals.
Restoring direct flight services
Both sides also discuss modalities to restore direct flight services between the two countries. Flight services between the two sides were suspended after the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. It was not renewed with regard to the border line.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and external affairs Minister Jaishankar have visited China in the last two months to attend SCO meetings.
