The central central Mangalur of Central Vande Bharat Express will be added four more coaches for the chairwoman, with effect from September 9 due to the high demand of passengers.
With this addition, the service will run with 20 coaches, including 18 vehicles (CC) and two powerful classes (EC).
Southern Railway, on Thursday, said that the Ministry of Railway recently approved a proposal to strengthen the number of coaches.
Railways doubled the number of coaches in these services, train No. 20631/632, with efficiency from 22 May. Another addition occurs within about three months after the last revision in the composition of the coach.
The services that originally operated between Thiruvananthapuram-Kasaragod-Thirvananthapuram were expanded to the Central Mangalura on 13 March 2024.
Train No. 20631 leaves Central at 6.25 hours and achieves Thiruvananthapuram Central at 15:05, passes 620 km in 8 hours and 40 minutes at an average speed of 72 km / h. All days of the week work, except Wednesday.
Tari on Mangaluru-Thiruvananthapuram vande Bharat Express are set at 1,615 GBP for CC and 2,945 GBP for EC classes. On the way back are tariffs of 1,575 GBP and 2 910 GBP.
The services became an immediate hit when a distance of 620 km covered within nine hours, while other express and super fast trains between the two cities last on the same journey at least 13 hours. Tourists and entrepreneurs use these services considerably.
The coach enlargement adds about 300 other seats to the existing 1,128 seats.
