After a severe release of water from the mettur dam on Sunday, the State Authority for the administration of Tamil Nadu (TNSDMA) and WRD (WRD) departments issued along the shores.
In his official WRD warning, the district administration in Salem, Erode, Namakkal, Karur, Ariyalur, Tiruchi, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Mayiladuuthurai, Nagapattinam and Cuddalore to take transmission measures along river banks and low areas.
Teams arrived in Tiruch from the strength of the reaction to the disasters of Tamil Nadu and the national forces of the reaction to disasters, which make up 25 and 30 employees, and are in standby mode for reaction to emergencies.
At the same time, TNSDMA began to send a geopped SMS warning to mobile phones living near vulnerable places along the river. Officials have confirmed that such warnings will continue daily on the basis of real -time location data to alert the public about growing water levels and recommend them to keep them away from the river.
In Tiruch, the authorities for the management of disasters have intensified preparations. According to officials, Washermen and other Riverside residents were directly warned. Authorickshaws equipped speakers were deployed to issue a warning in low -lying villages and, if necessary, auxiliary centers were prepared to adapt to the displaced families if necessary.
The collector of the district district Thanjavur P. Priyanka Pankajam urged the public to remain careful and cooperate with the authorities. People were recommended not to buy, swim, fish or not deal with any recreational activity in the river. Entering the river at night and accepting selfies in dangerous places should be strictly avoided. Due to the risk of whirlpools and strong streams, school and university students were asked to enter the water under any circumstances. Parents are asked to prevent children from playing near the river, canals and watercourses, while farmers were advised not to move farm animals across the rivers or areas susceptible to floods.
