Transport Minister SS Sivasankar on Tuesday inaugurated the new bus terminus at Kallakurichi.
A new bus terminus, set up on 5.5 acres, was constructed at an estimated cost of ₹ 16.21 crore at the Emapper bypass in Kallakurichi. The facility has parking spaces for 50 buses, 70 commercial shops, passenger waiting room, food court, security room, sanitation complexes and drinking water facilities.
The project, which on completion fulfilled the long-standing demand of residents in the vicinity, was launched in 2025. Collector MS Prasanth was present on the occasion.
