TN Manoharan, former President of the Institute of Authorized Accountants in India (ICAI) and Padma Shri Award, died, former MP Sutesh Prabhu informed about the X.

Manoharan reportedly died of a heart attack on Wednesday, July 30 in Mumbai, according to Dinesh Wagerah, a member of ICAI.
He expresses condolences in the X post and wrote Wagerah, a great loss of brotherhood ca. It is sad to know the news of the sudden and early completion of our beloved past President ICAI, Padma Shri Ca. TN Manoharan, formerly in Mumbai, after a massive heart attack. Ca. Manoharan was not only a towering character in our profession, but also the real statesman of our nation. ”
He also added: “His wisdom, humility and unwavering integrity inspired by generations of authorized accountants. He was a remarkable ambassador of the profession and gained respect and admiration around the world.

Manoharan works as President of ICAI in 2006-07 and as chairman of the ICAi Research Foundation and the National Committee for Accounting Standards of the Indian Industry Confederation (CII). In 2006–2007 he was in the Board of Directors of the Regulatory and Development Office of Insurance Regulatory and Development (IRDAI) and in the Indian Committees of Reserve Bank, Indian securities, Indian securities, ministries of corporate affairs, controller and general auditor in India and the Central Direct Tax Council. In 2010, in 2010 it was awarded the Indian Padma Shri Award.
