Tamil Nadu main Minister MK Stalin on Monday (July 7, 2025) practically launched more than 700 new housing units in favor of Sri Lankan tamil living in the state. These units were built at the total cost of 38 crore.
In accordance with the prior announcement of the main minister that more than 7,400 new housing units will be built for the welfare of Sri Lanka Tamils, these units were built in 67 camps in 26 districts throughout the state.
In the first phase, more than 3,500 units were built and were handed over to recipients in 32 camps in 18 districts. In the continuation of the main minister on Monday virtually open 729 units built in the districts of Salem, Dharmapuri, Tiruppur, Villupuram and Virudhunagar.
Mr. Stalin also practically ceremonially launched new buildings built for the Department of Income and Disasasters at the total cost of 54 Crore in various places throughout the state.
On the occasion of the Secretariat were present ministers KKSSR Ramacandran and SM Nasar, the main secretary of N. Muruganandam and higher officials.
State Commission for Minorities Thanks to CM
In another case, the members of the State Commission for Minorities called on the main minister and thanked him for the state government providing financial assistance to certain religious minorities, namely Buddhists, Jain and Sikha, for their pilgrims.
When the state government introduced its own certification on the basis of the Directorate for Cities and Countries, operating within the housing and city development department, some recipients who have acquired a self -deertification called on Mr. Stalin and thanked the government for a new initiative.
Representatives of the confederation of the Association of Real Estate Developers in India (Cridai) also met the main minister and thanked him for the release of the document “Coimbatore Master Plan 2041” and for the key initiatives of the housing and cities department.
