
Trinamool Congress (TMC) Saket Gokhale MP on 10 June apologized to ex-Diplomat Lakshmi Puri for released a series of tweets against her in 2021.
In the post for X, member of TMC Rajya Sabha explained that his “tweets” contained incorrect and unverified charges regarding the purchase of Puri’s assets abroad.
“I absolutely apologize for the fact that I was on the 13th and 23rd June 2021 to release a series of tweets against AMB.
The apology came after the High Court in Delhi issued a notification and ordered him to explain why he should not face civil imprisonment for apologizing to former Lakshmi Puri diplomat over slander contributions on social media.
Compliance with the HC order
Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh ARORA chaired negotiations on the execution of Lakshmi Puri and sought to promote the final judgment and regulation of 1 July 2024.
