The Karnatak government announced on Saturday that the funeral of a veteran journalist, author and Padma Bhushan TJs George will take place with state awards. On Friday he died in Bengalur at a private hospital at the age of 97.
“TJs George, senior journalist and Padma Bhushan award, died October 3. The government expresses deep condolences and ordered its final ceremonies to be carried out with full state awards,” the government circle said.
His deadly remains will be kept in Hebal Crhematorium on Sunday from 13:30 to 14:30 for their readers, family members, friends, students and admirers to give up the last respect. The cremation will take place at 3 pm, family sources said.
