A satirical Titanic-style statue of US President Donald Trump featuring the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein was placed on the National Mall near the US Capitol on Tuesday local time. In 2017, Epstein told author Michael Wolff that Trump was his “closest friend” — two years before he died in prison in what was officially ruled a suicide.
Titled King of the World, the life-size sculpture depicts the alleged “best friends” standing together in the iconic pose from the 1997 blockbuster Titanic on the bow of the doomed ship.
A plaque at the base of the installation reads: “The tragic love story between Jack and Rose was built on luxury travel, wild parties and secret nude sketches. This monument honors the bond between Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein. A friendship seemingly built on luxury travel, wild parties and secret nude sketches.”

‘Secret Handshake’, a group whose members are anonymous, is said to have installed the statue.
Tourists took pictures of the statue, which sits in front of a row of banners with photos of Trump and Epstein, along with the phrase “Make America Safe Again,” The Independent reported.
According to the CNN video, the statute is in the shadow of the Department of Labor, which has a huge Trump banner reading “Make America Safe Again.”

This is not the first status from the group. In September, a statue of Trump and Epstein holding hands was erected outside the Capitol. This was quickly removed.
They were also behind a poop statue, criticizing the January 6 rioters and a large replica of Trump’s alleged birthday letter to Epstein.
What was in Donald Trump’s birthday letter to Jeffrey Epstein?
The “birthday letter” is a controversial document Trump allegedly sent to Epstein on his 50th birthday in 2003. It was first reported by The Wall Street Journal in 2025 and later released by House Democrats and was part of a “birthday book” compiled by Ghislaine Maxwell.
The letter features a hand-drawn outline of a slender woman with typewritten text inside the torso and signed “Donald”. It hinted at a familiar relationship, with lyrics stating, “A friend is a wonderful thing” and “We have certain things in common, Jeffrey.”
It ended with a suggestive thank-you note: “Happy birthday – and may every day be another wonderful mystery.”
Trump vehemently denied the letter’s authenticity, calling it a “fake thing” and “not my words” while filing a $10 billion defamation suit against the Journal.
While the White House says the signature is a forgery, the letter remains central to the ongoing 2026 congressional investigation into Epstein’s files.

In the latest batch of Epstein Files released by the Justice Department earlier this month, a woman accused Trump of sexual assault. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt dismissed the allegations as “completely unsubstantiated” and “supported by zero credible evidence”.
