
The Indian Red Cross (IRCS) Tirupati unit has topped the list of districts in Andhra Pradesh by covering the largest number of beneficiaries in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) awareness programmes. During the ‘CPR Awareness Week’ observed from October 13 to 17, the district unit conducted 17 programs involving 6,550 participants, followed by Anantapur (3,100), Srikakulam (2,883) and Visakhapatnam (2,430). Overall, the week-long program reached 29,050 individuals in 188 camps across the state.
Meanwhile, a delegation of IRCS Tirupati unit led by its chairman Daggumati Srihari Rao and comprising vice-chairman MG Mayur, treasurer Subba Rao, secretary Praneeth and life member Yugandhar formally called on district collector S. Venkateswar at his chamber on Wednesday.
