Tim Hortons manager in Ontario was released after he reportedly asked a 17 -year -old employee to marry his 25 -year -old brother to get a permanent residence in Canada. The manager reportedly offered a teenager between $ 15,000 and $ 20,000 to participate in a system that circumvented legal immigration channels.
The case was first revealed by Toronto Sun, published by the Screenshots of messages exchanged between the manager and the teenager.

According to the screenshots, the manager asked, “Do you want Indian BF?” – with “BF” referring to a “friend”.
When the employee asked about his age, she replied that he was 25 and explained, “My brother. Looking for GF. He needs someone to get a permanent residence in Canada. And if you can help him, he can pay you $ 15-20k ( £13-18 lakh) too.

How did the family react?
Uncle Teenager, Matt Monroe, took a matter for the provincial police in Ontario.
“The manager bothered my niece to marry her brother, who was 25 years old, and she is minors and offered her $ 20,000 to marry him,” wrote Monroe on Facebook.
Later, Toronto Sun said that his niece was so upset that she had left her work at Tim Hortons stores in Wellington and Picton and said “she didn’t feel comfortable”.

What did Tim Hortons say?
In his statement, Tim Hortons confirmed that the female manager was released.
“The Tim Hortons restaurant are owned and operated by franchises who independently manage their own work for their restaurants,” the company spokesman said. “The restaurant owner ended the involved manager soon after he learned of the completely unacceptable situation in his team.”
Meanwhile, Monroe said he would boycott the chain: “It is worrying that people are fine focused on minors and fraud, and I very clarify it, I promote that all managers are released, and I will not stop until it happens, and illegal fraud focuses on minors.”
Does the police are investigating?
The provincial police Ontario (OPP) started the investigation.
Alexandre Lebel, spokesman of the Department of Prince Edward Opp, confirmed that the officers initiated the investigation of fraud with marriage on September 9, 2025, according to Juno News.
