Tiger found dead in Chikkamagaluru

The tiger’s carcass was found on Monday (July 13) evening at a farmhouse in Hosa Thota in the Muthodi range of Chikkamagaluru territorial division.

The place where it was found is near the Masagali State Forest, which is adjacent to the Bhadra Tiger Reserve. KT Boraiah, Deputy Conservator of Forests, Chikkamagaluru, and Muthodi range officials visited the site.

The officers suspected that the death may have been due to fights. A post-mortem will be carried out on Tuesday (July 14) as per standard operating procedure of the National Tiger Conservation Authority.
