
The state government suspended Chakrapani Y., a representative of the forest conservator (DCF) MM Hills Division Wildlife Division for justifying duty and negligence in the case of the unnatural death of five tigers – mother and her young – in the sanctuary of MM Hills Willdlife Sanctare in Karnataka, Karnataka.
On July 4, the Minister of the Environment Eshwar B. Khandre ordered the suspension of the assistant of the conservator of the Gajanan Hegde forest from MM Hills Wildlife Division and the extent of the forest officer-cum-surveyor Madesho
June 30. Three officers were sent for a compulsory holiday until the next notice.
On Monday, the state government issued an order suspending IFS officer after the report on the Committee on Investigation at a high level on the death of the tiger and its young.
“In the performance of powers according to Rule 3 (1) of the All India Service (Discipline & Apperation) Rules, Chakarapani Y., IFS, DCF, MM Hills, wildlife divisions, Kollegal, the order is undergoing.
“During the period of suspension, the official will not leave under any circumstances without the written consent of the state government,” he added.
