The ThriveTN 2026 Summit will be held in Chennai on January 24 by the Association of Indian Entrepreneurs (AIE) in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu Consortium of Self-financing Professional Arts and Science Colleges.
A press release said the summit will provide a deep dive into six emerging industries such as aerospace and defense, electric vehicles (EVs), renewable energy, advanced electronics, shipbuilding and marine technology, life sciences, pharmaceuticals and bio. Senior policymakers, industry captains, global experts and technology leaders will cover each sector and highlight growth trajectories, policy support, innovation opportunities, import substitution needs, investment trends and future skills requirements.
The report states that as part of its outcomes, 300 SMEs will be identified and supported to develop import substitution products across six sectors. These businesses will receive technology and innovation support from incubation centers in engineering and professional institutions along with financial assistance from the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI). The initiative is in line with the national priorities of strengthening domestic production and reducing dependence on imports.
Around 3,000 students from arts, science and vocational institutions will be recruited by participating companies for internships, qualification programs and work tours, ensuring they graduate with industry skills.
Registrations are open through www.thrivetn2026.in and through the ThriveIND mobile app available on Google Play Store for Android users.
