
Preventive measures against amoebic meningoencephalitis will be intensified throughout the district, it was decided at a review meeting, chaired on Saturday by the district collector Arjun Pandian.
The meeting decided to increase the chlorination of all drinking water sources during September. In addition, whitening powder and leaflets will be divided into each household.
Water quality control
Sitting awareness of health will be carried out in schools, focusing on the causes of amoebic meningoencephalitis and measures to be observed. Higher high schools with water testing laborators will also provide students with students to bring drinking water from their quality home control homes.
Local self -governing institutions were instructed to ensure continuous chlorination of pools and public wells. Keral Water Authority officials must find that all storage tanks are disinfected at regular intervals. The healthcare department and the Council for Control of Pollution Together check the water quality in entertainment parks to verify that the chlorination is properly performed.
On the 27th and 28th September, a campaign for mass chlorination throughout the district was planned, before that, a meeting of all local chairmen will be convened to coordinate the campaign.
