Minister of income K. Rajan congratulates the winners of the State School Art Festival and said they are the pride of Thrissura.
On Saturday, he spoke in the inauguration of the “SUVARNOLSAVAM” organized by the District Administration and the Ministry of General Education led by the Thrissur district district to honor the Thrissur students who brought home the Gold Cup from the State School Arts Festival.
The effort against drugs
Mr. Rajan urged students to solve social problems through their creativity and emphasize the importance of collective efforts against the abuse of hazardous substances.
As the main guest, Minister of Higher Education, R. Binda, he stressed how artistic training supports deep human values. She said that art should raise a generation of friendship and compassion and create new models in the fight against abuse of addictive substances. The Minister praised the students for their hard work and achievements.
The event, which took place at the Thrissur Town Hall, was chaired by the President of the District Panchayat VS Prince. The ceremony represented the distribution of gifts to students, cultural performances and a procession with students performing Panchavadyam, which culminated in Mega photo shoots at Thekkinkada Maidan.
The event was attended by P. Balachandran, MLA; District Collector Arjun Pandian; Thrissur deo A. Ansar; District Educational Sub-head Ajitha Kumari; Students; teachers; and parents.
