For each pair, the dream of parenting is rare. But for many who have been waiting for years without success, the infertility clinic has become their last hope. Now Thrissur Government Medical College Hospital has appeared for many as a beam of hope, thanks to the newly launched clinic of fertility with IVF devices, which meant a significant leap in the treatment of infertility in the Ceral government sector.
Although MCH has been running a fertility clinic since 2014, IVF services were not available. This changed in July this year, when the modern IVF clinic began to operate on MCH, making it the third government medical college in the state after Kottayam and Kozhikode to offer such advanced care.
“Our goal is to ensure treatment for a fraction of the costs charged by private hospitals,” says AV Deepak, professor of gynecology and obstetrics. “In the future, we are also planning to grow in a full -fledged department of reproductive medicine.”
The clinic now offers comprehensive services, including the evaluation of infertility, sperm analysis, IUI, IVF and ICSI, along with plans for specialized operational theater for keyhole operations.
The accusations reflect the mission of the government to maintain treatment accessible. Registration is performed for only 200 GBP, follicular study for 400 GBP (and 50 GBP for subsequent measures), IUI for 1,000 GBP (1,500 GBP with donor) and laparoscopic procedures for 5,000 GBP. IVF is offered for 60,000 ₹ – much lower than private hospitals.
OP services are available from Monday to Saturday and every Wednesday with new registrations. An integral part of the process are counseling and ethical standards.
The clinic is operated by a specialized team of three doctors, nurses, laboratory technicians, multipurpose worker and Counter staff. In just two months after the opening, almost 90 pairs were required from inside and outside the treatment – showing growing confidence and hoping that this device was inspiring.
