The general hospital reached a milestone with the completion of 4,000 heart operations for just three and a half years since the founding of its executioner in 2022.
Breakthrough surgery was performed on Madhavan, a 68 -year -old patient from Hamlet Kombazha, who was accepted with severe breathing difficulties and chest pain. Detailed investigations revealed a critical narrowing of the aortic valve. After obtaining compulsory approval, the patient was prepared for the procedure.
Led by intervention cardiologist Shafeeq Mattummal, a team including cardiology Vivek Thomas and Krishnakumar, along with cardiac surgeons, anesthesia and Cath Lab, successfully implanted a new valve. The complex procedure of two and a half -hour keyhole, which usually costs around 14 lakh, was provided free of charge through tribal health funds.
After the surgery, the patient was moved to CCU, where he later underwent the progress of the pacemaker. Doctors have confirmed that they are recovering well without complications.
The Cath Lab is now planning to continue to expand advanced heart interventions, which further strengthens the role of the hospital as a leading center of available cardiac care.
