
Minister for Income and Housing K. Rajan declared Thrissur for free district. The Declaration emphasized Thrissur’s success in removing waste across schools, universities, units of Kudumbashree, neighborhood groups, tourist destinations, institutions, cities, public spaces and markets, making the Green Lighthouse of Environmental Perfection.
Mr. Rajan congratulated all those who worked tirelessly to allow this success and emphasized that the responsibility for maintaining a free waste lies on every person.
“New waste launching is not just a temporary success; it is a sustainable goal that requires collective efforts,” the minister stressed. He added that when Kerala is awarded the title of a state without poverty, it also supports a free new Kera.
This remarkable journey included a total of 6,473 institutions, 25,977 neighboring groups, 1,164 schools, 122 universities, 301 public places, 537 cities and 39 tourist destinations in Thrissur. The ceremony also appreciated the blocks of Panchayats, gram Panchayats, municipalities, schools, universities and institutions that showed exceptional performance in free initiatives.
The event took place at the Thrissur Town Hall, chaired by the district President Panchayat vs Prince. The district collector Arjun Pandian, the main guest, delivered the address of the main speech, while the assistant director of the local Binda Parameswaren self -government, led the promise of purity.
