A three -year -old boy reportedly died of suffocation, while he was fed in Bagavathipurama on Saturday near Tiroverumbur on the outskirts of Tiruchi.
The Tiruverbur police registered the case according to section 194 BNSS acting on a complaint filed by the father of the child K. Karthik. Police gave the name of the deceased child as K. Shailesh.
The police said Karthik took care of his wife in a private hospital in Tiruch after the second child was delivered.
The relative gave food Shailesh in his house when he suddenly suffered suffocation.
The child was initially taken to the clinic and then to a private hospital, where the doctor said the child had already died. The child’s body was sent to the government hospital, Thuvakudi, to an autopsy.
