On Monday, three women aged 20 to 25 drowned in stagnant waters in the Magadi in the Ramanagara district.
The deceased were identified as Madha, 25, Raghavi, 22 and Ramya, 20., were connected and came from an electronic city. On Sunday they visited the house Divya, Sister Ramya, in the village of Yg Gudda. On Monday, the Backwater family visited the dam.
The victims embarked on the water and Ramya went further and tanned after her legs were stuck in the mud. She screamed for help and fell into the water. Madha and Raghavi rushed to her help and the trio drowned.
Divy’s husband Somaskekar managed to pull out. The passers -by, who gathered, then warned the police who took them to the hospital where they were declared dead. The bodies were shifted for post mortem and the police registered the case of unnatural death for further investigation.
