Rajasthan’s anti-terrorist squad on Friday conducted raids and arrested three suspects in connection with alleged terror activities, a senior official said.
Two suspects were nabbed in Jodhpur while one was held in Jaisalmer.
“Today, raids were conducted at several places in Jodhpur division to nab suspects with alleged links to terrorist organisations,” the official said.
The raids continue, he added.
The latest arrest comes days after two ISIS operatives, both named Adnan Khan, were arrested in connection with an alleged terror plot case.
Adnan Khan (Delhi) was arrested on 17 October. Adnan Khan (Bhopal) was arrested on 19 October. The court sent them to police custody, which was later extended.
Bhopal resident Adnan was also arrested by the Uttar Pradesh police after he allegedly threatened an Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) official on social media for conducting a survey of the Gyanvapi mosque.
They were reportedly planning to target a mall in South Delhi, according to news agency PTI. Their destination was also a public park. The bail application filed on behalf of accused Adnan Khan (Bhopal) is pending on October 31.
On October 24, it was submitted that mobile phone data should also be mined. They are required to conduct an interrogation to identify and recover their various social media IDs. They are to be questioned to see if there are any other persons associated with them.
