The prolonged struggle of the city of Ambur in Tirupatura against three Tasmac stores at Ambur – Pernambut Highway Road led to these stores on Tuesday after a court intervention.
The inhabitants said that this section had had three TASMAC sales for many years, which led to public harassing every day, especially on weekends, when everyday wage workers and agricultural workers received a weekly salary in the village. “All three Tasmac stores are located close to each other and less than 500 meters from the government of higher high school. Students, especially girls, are afraid to use a section for schools for shops,” said M. Srinivasan.
Many times drunk people were found on a village road road, which influenced the traffic movement. . Drunken people also participated in small fighting. After several agitations and protests, residents led by Srinivasan submitted a dispute between the public interest (Pil) at the Madras High Court, which demanded a permanent relocation of these stores. Subsequently, the court ordered the regional manager of Tasmac in Vellore to relocate stores in one month, which ends on July 24th. On the basis of the court’s instructions, all three sales were sealed.
Tasmac officials said about 90 Tasmac stores were operated in the district. Most large cities, such as Jolarpet, Tirupattur, Natrampalli, Ambur and Vaniyambadi, have at least 10 stores.
