
Police Panangad took three migrants on board the trailer on Tuesday (July 15) in connection with the suspected car theft of Krishnagiri in Tamil Nadu. The trailer was also confiscated.
The detention was identified as Saddam, 35 years and Zaitool (32) from Haryan and Najir Ahammad, 30, from Rajasthan. Shortly after Najir was brought to the Panangad police station, he reportedly pretended to go to the bathroom, locked inside and escaped by breaking the toilet window. But he was persecuted and caught.
On Monday, July 14, the State Police control room issued a warning around midnight and stated that the trailer registered by Rajasthan suspected of engaging in the theft of the car Krishnagiri crossed the border to Kerala.
“We Found the Rajasthan-Regisred Trailer Parked Near The Nettoor Mosque Around 3.30 AM Under Suspicious Circumstance, With Three Persons Inside. The Vehicle Was Transporting 52 Air Conditioners from and Company in Haryana to and Godown at Netor Order, Gas Cutters and Other Suspicious Tools Were Found Inside The Trailer, And None of the Three Could Give and SatisFactory Explanation.
During the interrogation, the suspects allegedly confessed to the theft of the car by loading the trailer. “They hidden a stolen vehicle under the bushes and wild growth in Krishnagiri and wanted to get it on their return journey to Haryana after delivering air conditioning units. Police Tamil has since obtained a car on the basis of our information,” police sources said.
The police also suspect that the trio can be involved in the theft of ATMs, due to the presence of gas cutter in the trailer. It has been found that both Zaitool and Zajir have registered cases of theft in Haryana. “We collect details about the case and also verify that Saddam also has any criminal background,” the sources said.
