Three people, including two women, were killed on Friday evening in a traffic accident near Mayanur in the district of Karur, when the two-wheel bikes riding a horse was hit by a car on the National highway Tiruchi-Karur.
The deceased were identified as N. Suesh Kumar aka Dhanapal, 38, Mason of Mayanur, who rode on two -round wheels. Million riders were P. Chitra, 30, construction worker from Lalapettai and I. Ramayee, 58, from Mayanuru.
The accident occurred when the three returned home from work. A car passenger from Tiruch, towards Karur, allegedly got out of control and came across two -wheel wheels. All three died on the spot.
The inhabitants of the car reportedly fled the scene after the accident.
The Mayan Police arrived and sent bodies to the Carrier Government Medical College and Hospital for Post Mortem. A case was registered and an investigation is underway.
