The local court granted each of the three persons convicts in the case of a counterfeit currency in East Godavari, East Godavari. Three other people who were convicted in this case died during the proceedings.
In 2018, a group of six people was arrested, while participating in counterfeit currency notes in the village of Pangidi at rural police limits Kovvur. Metal notes of a nominal value of £ 5 were confiscated.
