Three people were killed in a tragic road accident on the NH flyover near Krishna Nagar junction in Kurnool around midnight on Tuesday (March 24, 2026). Police said the youth, Kummari Sekhar, was first hit by a speeding truck while he was riding a motorcycle and was left seriously injured on the road.
As locals rushed to rescue him, another truck plowed into the group, killing two of the rescuers on the spot. The deceased have been identified as Kanna and Chinna. Sekhar also succumbed to his injuries and the victim claimed three. Two others were also injured.
The incident caused panic in the area, traffic was briefly interrupted. The police took the bodies to a government hospital for post-mortem and registered a case. We are trying to identify and trace the vehicles involved in the accident.
