
Three family members died and one member was injured after a house in which they lived in Erumat on Friday. The deceased were identified as Satyapalan (53 years), his wife Seethamma (50 years) and their daughter Anjali (26 years), the inhabitants of Sreenipuram in Kanakappalam near Erumela.
The police said the fire broke out around 13:00 Seethamma died on the point of burns. Satyapalan and Anjali, who suffered serious injuries, were hurried to Kottayam Medical College Hospital (MCH), but died in the evening.
Sathyapalan’s son Unnikttan at the age of 22 was also injured in a fire and is in MCH treatment. Pre -reports suggest that previously on the day, a young man, along with his friends, came to the house and expressed his wish to marry Anjali.
They were leaving a heated argument, which led to the outbreak of the fire. Neighbors tried fire by pouring water, but without success. The front doors locked from the inside and the neighbors broke them. At first, Anjali and Unkttan were taken to the hospital, with UNNKTTAN maintaining 20% of burns. Satyapalan and Seethamma were later found inside the house.
Anjali returned three days ago from abroad. The cause of the fire remains unclear.
