
In a significant strengthening of the provision of agricultural quality, the Ministry of Agriculture Andhra Pradesh ensured ISO/IEC 17025: 2017 from the National Council for Testing and Calibration Laboratory (NABL) for three of its key testing facilities.
Accredited laboratories are a laboratory for fertilizer control (FCO Lab), Bapatla; Laboratory to control the quality of bio and organic fertilizer (BOFQCL), Nellore; and laboratory of pesticide testing (PTL), Kurnool. These devices have been recognized as their technical competence and strict adherence to global standards in chemical analysis, ensuring that fertilizers and pesticides used in the state meet strict quality standards.
Dill Dilli Rao welcomed success as an milestone in the agricultural path Andhra Pradesh. “It is not just about recognition; it is responsibility,” he said, adding that the department aims to bring all agricultural laboratories in the state under accreditation of nabl a gradual way.
This movement aligns local testing and calibration procedures with international scales, giving farmers more confidence in the safety and efficacy of agricultural inputs. Mr. Dilli Rao attributed the reserved efforts of laboratory teams in Bapatla, Nellore and Kurnool and noted that accreditation will further strengthen scientific validation in agricultural procedures.
Andhra Pradesh achieves NABL accreditation not only protects its farmers, but also stands to appear as a leader in the field of agriculture control at domestic level.
