On Monday (April 21, 2025), three people were killed in a traffic accident when an SUV hit them near East Ramapuram on the national highway Villupuram-Nagapattinam.
The police identified the deceased as P. Nezru (55 years) from the village of M. Pudur and B. Kalpan, 30, and P. Saranya, 30, from the village of Naginatham.
The police said that nezru and both women went three times and headed for work in a former orchard in M. Pudur. When they connected to East Ramapuram, they hit them a fast SUV from behind. In the impact, all three were thrown out of the wheel.
While Kalpana and Saranya died on the spot, nezru died on the way to the General Hospital of the Cuddalore. A case was registered.
