Three people, including a truck driver, were killed when the parked freight bus on the outskirts of the city on the National Highway 48 on Saturday crashed the Ksrtc bus on the outskirts of the city.
The deceased was identified as a visitor, 50, a truck driver and his assistants, Nazeer Ahmed, 36 and Anand, 42.
According to the police, a vehicle loaded with livestock from Bengalur of Mudhol is aimed at. While the truck reached Nelamangaly, the driver noticed flat tires and parked the vehicle on the road to change it.
Meanwhile, the KSRTC bus, heading in the same direction, did not notice the parked trucks and hit it. Due to the impact, the trio was busy with a tire change, crushed to death. Several passengers and bus drivers suffered minor injuries, the police said.
