Police Channagiri arrested three people for an alleged attack by a sixteen -year -old boy who accused him of theft in Astapanahall near Channagiri in the Davanagere district on Sunday.
On the basis of the victim’s grandfather’s complaint, the case was registered against nine persons, six of whom escaped, the police said.
The accused were identified as Subhash (23), Lucky (21), Darshan (22), Parshu (25), Shivadarshan (23), Harish (25), Patti Raju (20), Bhooni (18), Sudhan aka Madhusudhan (30). According to the complainant, the defendants defeated the victim and accused him of theft of the Darshan House and indecent behavior with women.
