In two separate operations, Telangana EAGLE Force along with city police teams busted a drug party at a popular pub in Jubilee Hills and nabbed two traders in Bollaram who were trying to distribute narcotics to customers.
In the first incident Telangana EAGLE along with Film Nagar Police raided The Moonshine Project/EXT Pub in Jubilee Hills on the night of 31st October. During the raid, three patrons tested positive for drugs.
The arrested consumers were identified as Ch Dinesh Kumar, 46, who tested positive for opioids and methamphetamine, Bahadur Rohith Singh, 31, who tested positive for THC, and Banda Revanth Reddy, 25, who also tested positive for THC. The trio was handed over to the Film Nagar police for further action.
In another operation on October 30, the Telangana EAGLE Force in coordination with Bollaram police arrested two persons allegedly involved in drug peddling. The accused, identified as Shubham Kumar Singh, 27, of Lothukunta, and Rithik Shiva Nandam Kurup, 24, of Bowenpally, were nabbed at the Bollaram check post when they were trying to supply narcotics to customers of a supplier named Nandu, a native of Kerala and a resident of Bengaluru.
Police recovered 20 grams of MDMA, two grams of cocaine, 100 grams of OG, 12 LSD blots, ₹48,000 in cash, two mobile phones and a car from them. Both accused were described as consumers who became peddlers.
Officials said the crackdown was part of an ongoing effort to curb the use and distribution of narcotics at pubs and parties across the city.
