Police officials accompanied three accused on Friday to the court complex in Chittoor.
On Friday, the District Police in Chittoor arrested three men in the case of gangs of smaller Dalit Girl in the Murakambatt city park on September.
Superintendent police Tushar Dudi said that the accused had targeted women and couples in remote parks and filmed them to blackmail money. In some cases, they also resorted to sexual assault.
September 25 Trio, Mahesh (21), Kishhore (31) and Hemant Prasad (27), all Chittoor residents and working as agents for renewal of loans in a private company – hit the girl and her friend, both students, in the park. They attacked the duo, robbed them about valuables, injured the boys and raped the girl. The incident came out on 29 September when the victim filed a complaint at the Chittoor Taluk police station. Cases were filed according to the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), POCSO and SC/ST (POA), 2013 law.
Special teams watched the escapes accused across Andhra Pradesh, Chennai and Bengaluru. The police, which worked on Tip-off, arrested them in an isolated place on the edge of the Chittoor and confiscated their mobile phones. The defendants were marching from the intersection of the AR Grounds to the Chittoor Court complex and attracted crowds along the road before they were succeeded in the plume.
The SP ordered the forest department to strengthen the safety in isolated parks, install CCTV cameras, and coordinated with the police to prevent these crimes.
