Three men were arrested on Wednesday (September 17, 2025) for an alleged robbing of a 28 -year -old man of 10,000 GBP and his mobile phone after he was lured by Grindr to Attapore.
The accused, identified as Mohd Sohail, 24, MoHD Maqdoom Ali, 25, and Mohd Abdul Wasif, 25, all residents of Rajendranaragar, focused on the victim, the hotel worker from Vattepally.
According to inspector Attapur K. Nageswar Rao, the victim created an account on the grindra and Sohail started contact. September September Sohail asked a man to meet in Rajendranaragar.
“After attracted to an isolated place, Sohail, Maqdoom and Wasif reportedly forced the victim to transfer 10,000 GBP through an online payment application and rip their mobile phone before frying from the scene,” the inspector said.
The complaint filed with the Attapur police led to the rapid arrest of three men.
