Thousands of people took part in a run and bike ride organized by the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organizations in Vijayawada on Sunday (February 8) as part of the birth centenary celebrations of Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
deputy police commissioner (operations) Sk. According to a press release, Shereen Begum has canceled the run and ride event, which aims to promote unity and support the Fit India movement. Ms. Shereen Begum said that the event reflects the message of unity and collective responsibility in the society.
She congratulated the participants and urged them to uphold the values of love, compassion and selfless service and follow the teachings of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. She appreciated the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organizations for conducting programs that help the youth understand the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

Later, Mrs. Shereen Begum and Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organizations State President R. Lakshmana Rao carried the Torch of Peace launched by President Droupadi Murmu at Puttaparthi on 22 November 2025.
Several state and district office bearers, Sevadal volunteers, youth members and women participants participated in the program making it a grand celebration of unity and service.
