The nationwide strike called Central Trade unions on Wednesday influenced production in industries across sectors when workers were sitting in protest in various centers throughout the city. However, daily life was almost not affected by the strike, as transport services worked as usual in Bengalur, despite some transport trade unions supporting strike.
According to a mixed union committee (JCTU), about 8,000 workers arrived in Freedom Park, where a protest meeting was organized. Among other things, workers from engineering, drugs, cars, electronics and aviation industries participated.
“The production has completely stopped in several industries in the city, because the workers organized the gates of the gates before leaving for a protest place,” said the source in Jcto.
The government was also submitted by a memorandum in detail describing the requirement of workers.
JCtu urged the minimum wage that has already been announced by the release of the residence ordered by the court. JCTU, which urged the abolition of four industrial codes, said that maximum working hours per day should be limited to eight hours and proposed amendment in part of the Act on Factory and Trades and the establishment Act, which includes security measures for the working class.
