Thousands of people participate in the Jagannath Rath Yatra in Vijayawada

ISKCON mandir in Vijayawada organized Jagannath Rath Yatra on a grand scale with thousands of devotees participating.
Devotees from all over the country participated in the Rath Yatra. The car was decorated with colorful flowers. The city had a festive look and devotees were singing devotional songs.
The Rath Yatra started from Sitara Grounds in Bhavanipuram and reached Gundicha Mandir set up near Seethamma Vaari Padal near Sri Durga Malleswara Swamyvaarla Devastanam.
Devotees offered fruits and flowers to Lord Jagannath, took ‘teerdha prasadam’ and blessings as the chariot passed through the streets.
Devotees showered flowers and performed cultural programs on the way. The streets were filled with chants of ‘Jai Jagannath’.
ISKCON Temple, Vijayawada President Chakradhari Das distributed Maha Prasadam to devotees. Mylavaram MLA Vasantha Krishna Prasad and others also participated in the programme.
