Hunting jobs can be frustrating, especially if it follows promising conversations. But one friend of Reddit has changed this disappointment into an unexpected story about success.
The user shared experience on the platform and said his friend spoke about the role of a well -known technology company that closely corresponded to his expertise. After the encouraging recruiter challenge and a strong interview for the team leader, he was left to wait without updates for weeks.
Frustrated, decided to take advantage of the chance. Instead of leaving the film-silence, he sent polite but direct LinkedIn a message with the Director of the Talent Society. He explained how the discouraging experience of Ghosting was for the candidate.
To his surprise, the director answered in a few hours, apologized and promised to follow. Shortly thereafter, the recruiter reached out, admitted that the role went to someone else and apologized for the delay. The candidate thanked them, expressed the ongoing interest in society and continued.
But the twist came a few weeks later. The same work was reposted online. He sent the director again to tell the director to say he was still interested. This time things changed – the recruiter called him and offered him a job. No other conversations, no long process – just offer.
The post quickly hit the chord with Reddit users, many of whom stated that it emphasizes the importance of endurance on today’s competitive labor market.
As the original poster said: “Lesson is that you can’t be passive. Sometimes you have to defend yourself, even if it looks like you were screaming into the void.”
A user comment wrote: “No lol, this is not a lesson to learn. Lesson is if you want a job you need to play better than them.”
“It could create the entire episode as part of the series’s recruitment process,” another user demanded.
“I’V Gotten Half My Jobs in My Life by Applying to the same Company Again! The WORT THING THAT WILL HAPPEN IS IF THE REALLY DIDN’T YOU IS THAT WILL Just Trash Your Application. But IF Hurt To Try Again and Offten That Moves You Forward in the Hiring Process.
“Hr, unnecessary? It’s an act! They’re colder killers who kill themselves.
“Thanks for the tip! I really would like to read the mail that your friend sent. Sometimes I have trouble communicating my point without sounding,” wrote the fifth user.
