Up to 71.73% of students who appeared on two higher secondary trials from the district this year have become eligible for higher studies. The percentage of passage last year was 73.99%.
This year, up to 30,919 students appeared on rehearsals in the category of regular schools from 174 schools. Of these, 22 179 became eligible for higher education.
The number of students who secured class+ in all subjects was 2 371 last year, against 3,458.
Four schools in the district provided 100% success in the exams – one government, two without help and one special school.
They included the VHSS government for the Deaf, Jagatha, where all 16 students who appeared for the exam became a higher education; Sarvodaya Vidyalaya HSS, Lalanchira, where all 50 students qualified; Carmel Girls HSS, Vazhuthacaud, where all 282 students qualified; and Sri Ayyankali Memorial Government Model Residential School, Vellayani, where all 30 students passed.
Three students secured 1200/1200. These include BS Lekshmi Krishna and Amrin Chris SJ, Students of St. John’s High Secondary School, Cheriyakolla and Son DS, student of Dvnm Higher Secondary School, Maranallur.
In the technical school category, 25 out of 28 students who passed the exam were qualified for higher studies and registered the percentage of passage 89.29. No student provided A+ in all subjects.
In the Open School category with 204 out of 418 students sitting for the exam, it was eligible and recorded a percentage of passage 48.8. Six students provided A+ in all subjects.
In the exams of higher secondary education (VHSE), the district recorded the district a percentage of 72.99, which is a decrease of 0.23 percentage points from 73.22% last year. Of the 2,643 students sitting on the VHSE rehearsals in the district, it became 1,929 eligible for higher studies.
The VHSS and THS for the deaf, Jagathy, provided 100% results.
