
On Sunday, the municipal police carried out a surprising inspection in the spa and massage salons throughout the capital of the state, in the middle of growing worries about illegal activities, including trading in narcotic substances.
As a result of the main drug bust, raids come as a result of the main drug bust, in which the Attingal police arrested three individuals, including a woman in Kazhakuttom, for alleged possession of 52 grams of MDMA.
Investigators suspect that a woman from Palakkad is a key figure in a larger drug network working through a spa in the region. She was detained with a rocket that is known to be synthetic drugs from Bengalur.
The procedure was stimulated by a special report on the branch of a warning of potential drug trafficking and other shady negotiations carried out under the veil of the spa and wellness services. The report also pointed out a possible violation of workforce, including hiring minors and exploitation of employees, especially in facilities visited by tourists.
In the coordinated operation, police teams checked around 25 facilities at Thiruvananthapuram, including places in Kovallam, Thampanoor, Faculty of Medicine and Kazhakuttom. The device was chosen randomly, the official sources said.
While no major smuggled or illegal activity was revealed during the raids, one bath in Thiruvananthapuram Corporation was found to operate without compulsory registration. The police said that the civic body will be announced for the relevant measures against an unregistered facility.
The head of the district police (Thiruvananthapuram) Thomson Jose said that the inspection was organized to reveal a wide range of illegal activities. This operation was also submitted under the deputy ongoing anti-arkotic campaign “D-Hunt”.
He added that a special drive is not a one -time measure, but will be part of a permanent effort to ensure that the spa and similar wellness centers work in the legal framework.
“We will continue to monitor and examine such devices. This special drive will be a continuous process,” he said.
