The robbers reportedly stole 25 monarchs of gold jewelry and several silver objects from the house of the farmer in the village of Pudur near the town of Chengam in the district of Tiruvannamei on Sunday.
The police said the farmer Sivanesan and his family left for the Tirupati temple a few days ago. When they returned home, they found that the main door was damaged.
There were open wardrobes and Almirah inside the house. There were no valuables, including cash, gold jewelry and silver objects. The CCTV cameras installed in the porch were also stolen and the cameras themselves were damaged.
Mr. Sivanesan pointed out PACHAL POLICE, who arrived on the scene along with forensic experts. Fingerprints were collected and the police also won the CCTV shots from the surrounding areas along the road to the house.
The police superintendent (SP) M. Sudhakar created special teams to watch the culprits.
