Canadian investigative journalist Mocha Bezirgan said on Sunday that Khalistanis in Vancouver physically attacked him where he was “surrounded and endangered”.
When he talked to or, Bezirgan said, “It happened just 2 hours ago and I was still shaking. I was surrounded by a few khalists who behaved like criminals. They surrounded me, threatened me and were physically and grabbed my phone from my hand.”
Bezirgan, an independent journalist, was in Vancouver to cover the Khalistans assembly when there was an attack.

“This was done by an individual who had harassed me for a long time online using a dehumanizing language against me. I covered Khalistan protests in Canada, Great Britain, USA, New Zealand,” Nejirgan added.
“My only goal is to make independent journalism and record and report what is happening, and because I am editorially independent, it frustrates some people. They want to influence me, want to buy me. It’s not even Canadian citizen. It’s from the UK. I just reported.
“Had nowhere to go”
Bezirgan further elaborated and said that the people who surrounded him turned away their faces as soon as he began recording. “One individual came to me and began to ask me. He was very close to my face. Suddenly I surrounded me 2-3 people with the same physical close as if I had nowhere to go.”
Bezirgan, who sensed that he could break free of a physical quarrel, said he began to record the incident. “I noticed secretly from my main camera because I felt something physical happening. I also started to record from the phone.”
“As soon as I started to record, they turned my faces away, but the individual was still going to me, and then finally caught my phone out of hand for a moment. It stopped my recording, and when I came back, the police dealt with him and told him to stop his annoying behavior.”
“I have previously reported police reports of this particular individual for his harassment and his allowed to walk freely is a great disappointment. I think he should be deported back to Great Britain,” he said.
Bezirgan also said that the individual continued his whole show. “He continued to watch me throughout the show … I was followed by the train station, so I left the area,” he added.
