Days after India pointed out “anomalies” in the world map that was used to pass the “Fix the Map” resolution at the UN General Assembly, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said that “the UN has not published any map with borders”. In an exclusive interview with The Hindu, Mr Guterres insisted that it was “not for the UN to define” the borders.

Earlier, The Hindu reported that the map was released by UN Geospatial and used during the consultation process for the “Fix the Map” resolution, showing Arunachal Pradesh and Aksai Chin without the specified Indian and Chinese “claim lines” used by previous UN maps.
