On Saturday, July 5, on Saturday, July 5, a march of the congress for youth protested against the district medical officer (DMO), who demanded the resignation of the Minister of Health Veena George, led to a collision with the police and disturbances of traffic.
A protest led by the congress for youth with the slogan “Medical Sector in Kerala on the ventilator” saw the police to use the water cannons after activists tried to forcibly open the gate of the office. The President of the Youth Congress Taliparamba Mandal Prajeesh Krishhnan suffered an injury in the incident. Several activists were in custody and removed from the area.
The tension escalated when several protesters reduced the gate and tried to plant banana plants at the top of the symbolic protest. The police hit and cleaned them out of the scene. After the march, the activists blocked the National Highway in Pallikunn, causing disturbance of traffic.
The protest started by the Secretary General of the State of the Youth Congress Yomon Jose and chaired the chairman of the district of Vijil Mohanan.
