Jayashree, aka Chilanthy Jayashree, 61, from Velubadam, Varandarappilly, was associated with the proposed project Ayur Riveview in Thiruvilwamale.
According to the complaint, Jayashree reportedly convinced a native of Puthenchir 28. January 2022 to invest in the project and promise high returns. Initially, she gathered 10 lakhs in cash, followed by another £ 50 through bank transfers and direct payments. On March 16, 2024, the case was registered at the Mala police station.
The accused, arrested by a strange team led by Thrissur rural SP B. Krishnakumar, was made in court and succeeded. The police said Jayashree was charged in nine other cases of fraud and one offensive case registered in Vadakkanchery, Thrissur East and Palakkad Kotayi Police Stations.
