A 36 -year -old California woman disappeared for almost 18 hours during a survival on YouTube in the State Forest of the Pigeon River. State soldiers helped the Sheriff Office of the Otsego district to find 6 September. The Michigan state police shared a video of the moment when the police helicopter saw her in the jungle.
The woman allegedly disappeared after she left the camp in the Pigeon River Forest river to bring water. When she did not return, the competition hosts searched before calling 911 at 5 pm 6 pm.
Coordinated search began with dog units and helicopter Aviation Unit Trooper 6. The recent ice storm has damaged the forest area, making searching harder.
Around 10:40 pm it was found by the Michigan state police helicopter deep in the marshy area. Ground officers came to it with the leadership of the helicopter crew.
The woman came out alone. Emergency medical services (EMS) checked it and released it because it was without serious injuries. The police confirmed that it was safe and good.
“Great work of all the first respondents on the scene!” The seventh district of the MSP wrote on Twitter (now x).
“We were very relieved and I know that all the first respondents were relieved when we could save it,” Lieutenant Ashley Miller quoted the local media.
“It is very easy to get lost. Les Pigeon River is very large and dense. With the recent ice storm it is very forested and sometimes it is very difficult to navigate and there is no cellular service at all,” Lieutenant Miller added.
The reaction of social media
One user pointed out that video recordings show a date as 30 August. When he was asked for a reason for it, the official descriptor responded.
“I’m not sure. Make sure I tell them to set the right date on the camera. It was from September 6,” MSP wrote the seventh district.
“These cameras are amazing; it makes me happy that I’m not doing anything mad anymore,” the user joked.
“Wild that the challenge of survival on YouTube has led to searching with more agencies. I hope it is okay. It will make you think about the risks of these online stunt caschers in the real world,” one social media user commented.
But not everyone was impressed. The user X expressed frustration over the Californian woman “Wasting Local Sources”.
“The Californians came here and wasting taxes. It needs to be fined,” he came from the user.
Another user has repeated similar concerns: “Are you going to charge the organizers of this Youtube survival because you should have taxpayers on behalf of?”
“It’s not a challenge to survive, if they are called searching and rescue. It’s just a challenge to” not lose “, came from another.
