The turning meeting at the YSRCC’s headquarters (YSRCP) on Wednesday after the grieving family of Cheeli Singaiah, a supporter of YSRCP, who was awarded a dramatic political turnover during his visit to Reapalla during his visit to Reapalla.
Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy, who met Singaiah’s wife Lourda Mary and other family members in the Tadepalli party, expanded his condolences and assured them with the continuing support of the party. The amount of 10 lakh was handed over as immediate financial assistance.
The meeting was attended by leaders of Lella Appireddy and Prathipad Coordinator Balasani Kiran Kumar.
But at the emotional address for the media after the meeting, Mrs Lourda Mary expressed suspicion of her husband’s death.
“My husband suffered minor injuries. He was conscious, spoke and revealed the details of our village. How can he die?” She asked.
She argued that offers to shift Singaiah in a private vehicle were ignored and waiting for an ambulance continued, during which “something suspicious” could take place. “The foul game could have happened in an ambulance,” she said, indicating possible cover.
Mrs Lourda also claimed that the group, who claims to be represented by TDP leader and Minister Hrd N. Lošh, visited her home and put pressure on the family to sign certain documents and issued the threats when she refused. “Even the police tried to force us to sign a statement using the accident shots,” she said.
“Jagan Anna assured us. We trust him,” she said, demanding a transparent and independent death investigation.
The accusation casts the shadow on the tragedy and potentially increases it into the political boxing of the flash between YSRCP leaders and ruling alliance leaders.
