The White House allegedly launched the process of identifying the new Minister of Defense, according to the NPR, who said an anonymous American official. This development comes when the current Minister of Defense Pete HegSeth faces a growing control of charges of leakage of sensitive military information.
The controversy focuses on the claim that HegSeth shared details of the planned US military strikes in Yemen with his family members through a private signal chat on his personal phone. The recipients of this information reportedly included his wife, former producer Fox News and his brother.
The news report states that, according to the same official, this publication of the family cottage was shortly after HegSeth received a briefing of a mission from a higher US military official.
The accusation caused extensive criticism with concern about possible risks that such leaks represent national security and military operations.
HegSeth denied any unlawful conduct. HegSeth responded to the latest claims about sharing the details of the military strike in the cottage of a private family signal group, he said that the accusation was part of a wider effort to damage his reputation.

The New York Times published a report that claimed that the Minister of Defense had published details of US military operations in Yemen, such as flight plans for the F/A-18 Hornets, which focus on Houth Rebels, through a private signal chat with their family members.
He claims in the new message is in accordance with the previous discussion concerning the “Houthi PC Small Group”, where HegSeth reportedly shared attack plans. This chat accidentally included Jeffrey Goldberg, editor -in -chief of the Atlantic.
HegSeth denies claims
On Monday, April 21, he spoke with reporters in the White House and HegSeth expressed confidence in his actions and repeated his steadfast support to President Donald Trump.
“I talked to the President and we will continue to fight on the same page all the time,” Hegset said, emphasizing the strong support of the president.

Trump Backs HegSeth, says the White House
