The Ministry of Health and the care of the Western Bengal family issued a notice of forbidding 137 drugs that did not meet the standard of drug quality on Saturday, May 24, 2025. She also issued a notification to retailers and wholesalers for quality control. This comes when the central standard of standard drug control (CDSCO) found over 196 lower drugs throughout India.

The government of West Bengal has taken the use of false and lower classes over the past few months. Several raids across state drugs Godowns led to a huge number of non -standard drugs. In February, false medicinal products worth around 17 lakh were confiscated from the worship in the Amta region.
In this light, the state government issued an announcement in which it states: “… based on the list of CDSCOs provided … All parties involved are hereby focusing on remembrance of a lot of products from the supplier chain.”
She also recommended to all medical dealers to verify the license and number of GST wholesalers from whom they buy. “Wholesalers must find out that the drugs they buy are through a proper distribution channel, starting with the original company CFA,” he added.

Some of these forbidden drugs include basic drugs to rescue rescue hypertension, allergies and others.

The highest names of the company include Soft Touch Pharmaceuticals India Ltd, Apple Formulation PVT LTD, Logos Pharma.
In West Bengalia, up to 2,988 drugs were declared in the West Bengal in 2024. In Rajya Sabha, Bharatiya Janata (BJP) questioned Samik Bhattacharya to the Ministry of Health and family care in Bengal.

Talking with Hindu, head physician and public health manager from Bengal, Subarna Goswami, said: “Regulatory systems in India are very diluted. Pharma is one of the most profitable sectors. It must limit the price of drugs to produce non -standard medicines and circulate on the market.”
In the face of the heat
